About BOI’s Family Forum

Our BOI Family Forum is our newest group. Founded in 2022, this group is made up of owners of family-held businesses, from second-generation to fifth-generation. When you come into the meeting room, you’ll find friendly faces and people who have extensive knowledge and experience in owning and running a family owned company. These are people who want to learn and are excited to be at the table with other lifelong learners.

Meetings are spent discussing what is most important to its members.

Members connect and share their best business ideas for the purpose of giving and receiving actionable ways to improve their companies. Meetings are focused solely on issues and challenges unique to family-owned businesses, including:

  • Succession planning
  • Wealth distribution
  • Family harmony
  • Strengthening of familial bonds in and out of the business

What BOI members say

I liked the round table discussions. Prompts that lead to the groups talking in discussions and sharing stories were beneficial.

— Cayla Kunkel

I wish I had joined the group of store owners that we are linked with through BOI a lot earlier. I have learned a lot of valuable information and built relationships with peers in the industry that are valuable throughout the year.

— Dave Falk
Sav-Mor Pharmacies

There truly is no other single opportunity to keep your company at the forefront of your industry that can rival the BOI Pharmacy Alliance, its structure and results.  I very much value each and every member, their ideas, their practices and their contributions to our group!

— Mike Burns

Every minute of this meeting was beneficial and everything was great – the format, the speakers, the hospitality, the other members – everything.

— Mark Coleman
Owner of T & C Stamping

In my own business, I have discovered that the competitive situations I face often resemble those faced by my peers. I have found that if you learn from someone else’s mistakes or successes, it can save you considerable pain.

This meeting was great – conversations and topics are pertinent and actionable.
